Goal Seeker Analysis Wizard

If you want some output variables in your model to reach specific target or desired values, this tool will help you and make your life easier. It is based on simple principles, but is very powerful at getting the goals sought.

In the next example, we want the Net profit after tax values to reach the target values established in the green cells. This means that a variable will have to be varied; in this case, Units.

Once you have made the appropriate selection, click on OK to see the results when the outputs are the same as the target values.

If we want to have several rows of goal values, Goal Seeker can also handle this situation.
In the example below, we have chosen the same variables, but now we have selected several rows of target values.

Goal Seeker will create a new sheet to show the results, as shown below.

Use the Add new model button to save the current settings of inputs and outputs for Goal Seeker.
Use the Administrate Models button to manage saved Goal Seeker models.
