DATAPOINT is an add-on for Microsoft PowerPoint® that is fully integrated in your Office application. As easy as PowerPoint® itself, this add-on gives you the flexibility to link dynamic content from Excel data sheets, text files and even databases.
With a linked presentation DATAPOINT automatically refreshes the content as soon as the data of your external data source is modified. With this mechanism you can always display the latest information of your databases, locally stored or over an internet connection.
DATAPOINT can now be used to link table objects directly. Just insert a table, specify the number of rows and columns and bind a data connection to it in order to have it populated at once.
Also you can now insert a web browser object on your slide and via your data connection you can specify which web site should be displayed.
Finally in a web server environment you can use your HTTP variables in custom SQL statements. With this you can populate your presentation based on dynamic HTTP variables. This feature is available in the Enterprise Edition only.
Note: Our business partner SoftData has completed the translation of DATAPOINT in Danish. Existing users can download the new Danish setup from our web site and install it over the existing version.

-Text files - Use a text file in order to link e.g. the content of a list with text fields in PowerPoint.
-Excel worksheets - Link any Excel worksheet and specify which rows and columns you want to use in your presentation.
-Databases - Link any database directly to your PowerPoint presentation. Content from databases like Microsoft Access, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Informix etc can be linked via a network or internet connection.

New License Activation System:
As of now all our new products will have in place a new license activation system and order processing mechanism.
The license activation system is used to get the installed software licensed. This can be done automatically over an internet connection or manually for those that are not connected to the internet. Also a mechanism is available to transfer automatically a license from 1 computer to another without contacting us. The automatic way (over an internet connection) is executed online and is licensed immediately. The manual processing (if no internet connection available) will take manual processing by us.
The new order processing mechanism is now enhanced. A user can download the software, install it and pay online for the license key. When we received the payment confirmation from ShareIT.com we will send out an automated email directly to the registered customer with a username and password to activate the software. Also this username and password is needed when you want to transfer your license(s).
This new system is already operational for our new products NewsPoint and MessagePoint. We are currently installing the same mechanism for DATAPOINT. Registered users will shortly receive an email message to convert their existing license key(s) to the new system. |
